Here is a colorless can of Coke that is meant to help the environment by reducing the materials and energy required to produce and recycle a typical painted can.
The can has the Coca Cola insignia embossed on the aluminum instead of painted on and looks pretty neat.
However, if this will really help the environment, or even be feasible (what about all that mandatory info they’re required to put on the can?), is debatable.
Some say that this type of can requires more energy to produce and that the paint currently used is already quite friendly to the environment. Even while recycling, the paint simply burns off and doesn’t require special treatment.
Whatever the case, we just think that the colorless can is cool and would love to see it in the market.
